RADICAL FAITH

Greetings Pastor Kasanda L. Tshilenge,

I just want to share with you a message that God spoke to me and I believe it will help individuals in the church and those around us to grow spiritually in God. The way God spoke to me was like, He really has great plans and extraordinary blessings he wants to pour out onto our lives this year 2011. We just have to believe in a little thing called ‘radical faith’. We need to be who God wants us to be and to be where God wants us to be in everyday of our lives.

The Bible indicates that, whatsoever you desire when you pray, believe you have received and you shall have it; not that you are going to receive it, but YOU HAVE IT! That is what we call radical faith. Many of us go into our daily lives feeling insecure, abandoned, heartbroken, guilty, disappointed, or defeated. We keep looking back at our past defeats, our failures and disappointments, we think our situations will never get any better in fact we go about imagining only how worse it could get. We think that we were not meant to have joy, peace or happiness or enjoy in the abundance of God’s blessings, we are worried or afraid about how the next days will be.

When we have all these feelings and negative thoughts, we no longer see the importance of living. We begin to feel as though our goals and dreams which we have always wanted to achieve can no longer be accomplished. It seems like our deepest heart desires are just a fantasy, like they are so impossible for anyone to achieve. Success in education, communication in family, finding friends, marriage, getting a promotion, having children, or getting the job that you always wanted, all seem to be concepts that are far from possible to you.

However, God wants us to look beyond these situations. God is trying to remind us of how great His power is. He never changes. If He could do it for Joseph in the Bible, if He could do it for Jacob, for Moses, for David, for Daniel, He is a God who is able to do it for you too. God wants us to know that we are His masterpiece, His own work of Art. His most valued prized possession. God wants us to know that we are loved, cared for, and by His grace we can walk with our head held up high and our shoulders back because we can be certain that He will redeem us from the trials we face. If we can only surrender all our troubles before Him and believe that He is a God that can do the extraordinary and that He is able to do the extraordinary. God will help us fulfill the mission He alone has called us to do here on the earth which He created. As Job 37:5 says, “At God’s command amazing things happen, wonderful things that we can’t understand”.

We need to walk with confidence. We need to be people who can dwell on past victories instead of past defeats. We need to stop focussing on the why’s; “why did my marriage breakdown?”, or “why did that person get healed and I didn’t?”, or “why does that person have many friends, while I find it hard to find even a single one?”, and stop giving each other excuses as to why we cannot push on forward into path that God wants us to take. We need to be people who can press forward in any situation no matter how many set backs try to pull us down.

We need to be people who love and trust that the Lord will achieve for us what is unachievable to man, as long as we dedicate our lives to Him. Because we trust and believe in Him, God will substitute our failures with success, He will take our weakness and make them into strengths, for He is a God who is able. For no handicap can keep us from becoming all that God has created us to be. God wants us to know that when He created us he equipped us with the tools that we need to reach where He wants us to go. To achieve the dreams that so many people have told us we cannot achieve.

I believe that the power of God is using our church, our families, our friends, and our lives. Our God is doing the unthinkable. I believe 2011 is a year of harvest for those who have sown seeds and have been patiently waiting for it to grow. God is eager to reach out to us, He is eager to show us how much He loves us, He is eager to reveal to us how we too can enjoy his abundant blessings; if only we can give Him a chance to do so. If only we can allow Him to rule our lives. To let Him in, to tell Him our deepest secrets, our deepest desires, goals and dreams in our lives. Since He is Alpha and Omega, He will surely see us through any situation.

Alright, here is what God told me we need to do:

1.    We need to be strategic and make plans - God does not only bless us because we have a plan but He wants us to write it and make it plain. We also need to let our actions run up with what we wrote. (We could have done this at the beginning of the year but in God it is never too late to tell Him how we feel.)
2.    When we ask God to do something we must surely believe or have faith that He has already given it to us. - We need to be able to write out our plans for this year on a piece of paper.
3.    Then we need to take an envelope and pray about the things we have written down believing that we have already received these things.
4.    It is at the end of the year that we can then look back at what we wrote and witness the wonderful things God has accomplished in our lives.

NOTE:

Could you please provide for the church envelopes and good writing paper, and pens if possible?
People can write their plans at church or at home, whatever they feel most comfortable. As long as they are in the presence of God and the Holy Spirit directs thoughts.

May God continue to release and increase supernatural blessings in our lives as well as, provide us with the wisdom and wealth. Let us give this year to God so that we can enjoy the full favour of his hand. Let our lives be a living testimony of Christ’s work in us. Because we believe in Christ Jesus, we need not to assume the worst about ourselves, but we need to assume the best. We have the fingerprints of God all over us; with Him we can accomplish the supernatural.
